The Find My Device app is an excellent tool for finding your phone. It can identify devices signed in with your Google account. When you open the app, you’ll see a list of devices that you can track down. By tapping on a device, a map will appear, showing its location.
If the device is not connected to the internet, the app will display its last recorded location. Below the map, there are additional options. One option plays a sound on the device, helping you locate it. Another option allows you to secure the device by locking it with a password or PIN and logging out of your account.
A New Logo for the Find My Device App
Currently, the app’s logo is a green pin icon, but Google has been planning to change it. In June, the company revealed the new logo, which incorporates the classic Google colors. The new logo is more circular, with a blue and green ring and red and yellow extensions radiating outward, resembling a radar. This change aligns the app’s appearance with other Google apps.
