Samsung’s 2024 Flagships Won’t Charge Faster Than 2020 Phones
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 series will not have faster charging speeds compared to its 2020 phones. The base model will support a maximum charging speed of 25W, while the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will support up to 45W charging speeds. The confirmation comes from a certification listing in China.
The Galaxy S24 and S24+ Will Feature Bigger Batteries
Although Samsung isn’t increasing the charging speeds, it is increasing the battery capacity of the base and Plus models. The Galaxy S24 will have a 4,000mAh battery, and the Galaxy S24+ will have a 4,900mAh unit. This follows Samsung’s trend of increasing battery capacity in its flagship models for the past two years. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will continue to feature a 5,000mAh battery. The new Samsung flagships are expected to be released in January 2024.
