Honor X50 GT Features 108MP Camera, 16GB RAM and More

So, here’s the scoop. The HONOR X50 GT is the new kid on the block. It’s the latest smartphone from the company, announced in China.

But hold your horses. It’s not a flagship phone. It’s more of a budget device. More on that later.

Now, let’s talk about the design. The HONOR X50 GT is a blend of metal and glass. It sports a curved display and a centered display camera hole. The bezels? Pretty thin. And on the back, you’ll find a circular camera island with two cameras.

The display is a 6.78-inch 2652 x 1200 OLED. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. And the peak brightness? A whopping 1,200 nits.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. HONOR has packed in 12GB/16GB of RAM, and storage options range from 256GB to a massive 1TB. It runs on Android 13, with Magic UI 7.2 pre-installed.

Battery-wise, it’s got a 5,800mAh powerhouse. It supports 35W wired charging and comes with a charger in the box. But no wireless charging, in case you were wondering.

The camera setup is interesting. It includes a 108MP main camera, backed by a 2-megapixel depth unit. And for your selfie needs, there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

The HONOR X50 GT also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner. It’s IP53 certified, making it dust and splash-resistant. It supports Bluetooth 5.1 and 5G, and has two nano SIM card slots.

In terms of dimensions, it measures 163.6 x 75.5 x 7.98mm and weighs 192 grams. It comes in Midnight Black and Silver. Pricing starts from CNY2,199 ($309) for the 12GB + 256GB model, going up to CNY2,899 ($407) for the 16GB RAM + 1TB model.

Now, here’s the kicker. It might not make its way to global markets. But if the price is right, it would be a nice addition. It’s quite affordable in China.
