## Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series continues to sell well

Eight months after its market release, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is still performing strongly. In the past month alone, the company has sold over two million units of the flagship trio. This is an impressive number, especially considering the competition from new entrants like Apple’s iPhone 15 series and Google’s Pixel 8 series. Overall, the cumulative sales figure of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra has almost reached 23 million units in the first eight months.

## Samsung sees healthy growth in Galaxy S23 sales

According to an estimate by Hana Securities Co., the Galaxy S23 phones have cumulatively sold 22.89 million units in the eight months since their release. This marks a 22 percent increase in sales compared to the Galaxy S22 series, indicating that Samsung’s latest flagships have benefited from positive word-of-mouth. The devices have received favorable feedback from both reviewers and consumers.

The sustained demand for the flagship trio further supports Samsung’s success this year. The company has shipped over two million units of the three Galaxy S23 models combined in each of the past two months. With the holiday shopping season still ahead, Samsung may comfortably achieve its sales target of at least 26 million units before the year ends.

## Galaxy S23 Ultra remains a crowd favorite

As anticipated, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has been a popular choice among consumers. It accounts for almost half (10.69 million units) of the total Galaxy S23 sales. The base model has been purchased by over eight million individuals, while the larger Galaxy S23+ has sold 4.11 million units. This sales distribution follows a similar trend that Samsung’s flagships have shown in recent years.

However, there is some surprising news. According to the same source, Samsung’s latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, are selling worse than their predecessors. In the first two months after their launch, the new models collectively sold 3.51 million units. In comparison, the 2022 models sold 3.63 million units during the same period last year. Notably, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is outselling the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and the gap between the two has widened this year.

## Samsung’s A series phones are performing well

While the S and Z series phones may generate significant profit for Samsung, the A series has been a driving force in terms of volume sales, helping the company maintain its position as the world’s largest smartphone vendor. The latest models in the A series reportedly have strong sales in key markets like India and the Middle East. It remains to be seen if Samsung can find a way to improve its foldable sales as well.
