Sharp Announces New Flagship Smartphones with Impressive Features
Sharp has unveiled two new flagship smartphones, the AQUOS R8s and R8s Pro. While these devices are currently only available in Japan, the ‘Pro’ model stands out with its noteworthy features.
Intriguing Features of the New Sharp Flagship Smartphone
Both phones feature a centered display camera hole and flat displays with thin bezels. However, the ‘Pro’ variant has a larger camera island and offers more power.
The ‘Pro’ model boasts a 6.6-inch 2730 x 1260 IGZO OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
Expandable Storage and Impressive Camera Sensor
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the ‘Pro’ model comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage (expandable up to 1TB). It also features a 47.2-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch sensor and a 1.9-megapixel 14ch spectrum sensor.
The device includes a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast wired and wireless charging. It comes with Android 13 pre-installed and is priced at approximately $1,018.

The Sharp AQUOS R8s offers a 6.4-inch fullHD+ IGZO OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and a 240Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB).
This model also has a headphone jack and a slightly inferior main camera. It is priced at approximately $735.
