Samsung Opens Beta Program for Android 14-Based One UI 6.0 Update

Samsung is providing an opportunity for more people to try out its Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update early. The beta program is now open for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy F23 in supported countries. Users can register through the Samsung Members app and get a jumpstart on Android 14. Additionally, there are new beta updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy S21.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 Receive One UI 6.0 Beta

The One UI 6.0 beta is currently available for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in South Korea. The Galaxy F23, exclusive to India, is also receiving the update. Although the F-series phone is limited to India, the two foldables were sold worldwide. Samsung may expand the beta program to other regions soon. The company is already running beta programs in six other countries including China, Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and the US.

For some devices, beta updates may only be available in specific countries. To join the beta program, users can open the Samsung Members app, look for the One UI 6.0 banner, click on it, and proceed to register. The beta update will be delivered to the phone as a regular software update over the air (OTA) a few hours after registration. It’s important to note that beta updates may be unstable and buggy.

New Beta Updates for Galaxy S21 and Fold 5

Good news for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy S21 users: the new foldable is receiving its second One UI 6.0 beta update with the build number ZWJ4. This update brings bug fixes and stability improvements. As for the Galaxy S21 series, the beta update has reached the US with the build number ZWJ2 and an OTA size of 2.3GB.

Samsung’s One UI 6.0 beta program is also open for several other devices including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A34. The company regularly releases new beta builds for these devices. Participants in the program should remember to check for updates in the Settings app. Those interested in joining can use the Samsung Members app to see if the One UI 6.0 beta is available in their country. The stable rollout is expected to begin later this month.
