Pixel 8 series now support Adobe RAW
Google introduced Adobe RAW support for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, expanding editing options beyond the Google Photos app and making high-end mobile photography more accessible to users.
What does this mean?
Capturing images in RAW format is the preferred method for serious photographers to achieve the highest quality results, as these files contain more image data for editing and fine-tuning details. The Pixel 8 series excels in taking photos, and RAW captures make the experience even better, offering maximum editing capabilities.
It’s getting better…and better
Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop now recognize RAW files from both the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, including all available lenses. Users are recommended to use minimum plug-in v16.0.1 and update the Adobe apps for seamless compatibility. Other phones supporting Adobe RAW include the iPhone 15 series and Xiaomi 14 series.
