**Galaxy S23 Users in the US Getting New Beta Update and Security Patch**
Users of the Galaxy S23 in the US who have enrolled in Samsung’s One UI 6.0 beta program are receiving the seventh beta update. Additionally, devices running One UI 5.1.1 are getting the latest security patch. The October SMR (Security Maintenance Release) is also rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
**October Update Rolling Out to Galaxy S23 Series in the US**
Samsung is now rolling out its October update to the factory-unlocked units of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in the US. The update includes the latest security fixes with the firmware build number S91*U1UES1AWIF. However, no additional features or changes are included in this update.
**October Security Patch Fixes 46 Vulnerabilities**
Samsung’s latest security patch includes fixes for 46 vulnerabilities. Twelve of these are specific to Galaxy devices and come directly from Samsung, while the others address Android OS issues patched by Google or affected system component vendors. Two critical flaws are also patched in this update.
**How to Check for New Updates**
Users of Samsung smartphones can check for new updates from the Settings app. Simply go to the Software update menu and tap on Download and install.
**Note for Galaxy S23 Users in One UI 6.0 Beta**
Galaxy S23 phones running One UI 6.0 beta have already received the October security patch. The latest beta update focuses on bug fixes as Samsung prepares for the stable rollout. The Android 14 update is expected to arrive later this month, and more information will be provided when the rollout begins.
**Security Patch Available for Galaxy Z Flip 5G**
The latest SMR is also being pushed to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US. Carrier-locked units of the device with the build number F707USQU6IWI2 can now receive the update. The update brings system stability improvements, as confirmed by Samsung’s changelog.
**Update Availability for Other Models**
The 4G model of the original Galaxy Z Flip has not yet received the update, and it is also not available for the unlocked 5G model. Hopefully, Samsung will release the update for these devices soon, as the international market versions have already received it.
