Nothing Phone (2) Gets Android 14 Open Beta 2
Nothing has released the second Android 14 beta update for the Nothing Phone (2). The latest beta build brings a host of new features and improvements, with the stable release expected in early 2024.
Features and Improvements
The latest beta build for the new Android version introduces several new features for the Glyph Interface. This includes Google Calendar integration, a new Glyph animation for NFC, and support for time presets on the Glyph Timer. There are also functional improvements such as support for Android 14’s Predictive Back and additional options for the double-press gesture on the power button. The update also includes reliability improvements and bug fixes.
Enroll in the Beta Program
Users who have already installed Beta 1 will receive the latest update over the air within the next few days. Those who haven’t joined the beta program yet, can sideload the APK provided by Nothing and then navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version to install Nothing OS 2.5 Beta. It’s important to note that beta software may be unstable and may require a factory reset, so backing up important data is recommended.
